Education
Ph.D. in Cell Biology at Yale (3rd year)
B.A. in Molecular Biology from CU Boulder (2020)
Research Background and Interests
I’m interested in studying the relationship between genome structure and function using microscopy. Genome organization is highly dynamic and requires high spatial and temporal resolution. My interest in technology development is driven by my interest in understanding biological processes.
Work in the Bewersdorf Lab
I work on developing and applying novel superresolution technology to study genome organization. Currently, I am working to develop a new DNA and protein labeling method that allows you to identify a locus in it’s chromatin environment (proteins, histone modifications, etc). I am interested in applying this technology to study epidermal differentiation.
Outside the lab
I really enjoy trying new restaurants and traveling. Before moving to New Haven I lived in Boston and created a whole map of restaurants I had tried and reviews for them (for myself/friends).
