Education

Ph.D. in Physics, PEB Program, Yale University (4th year)
B.S. in Physics and Mathematics, Stony Brook University (2021)

Research Background and Interests

I am a physicist by training and became interested in using physics to answer biological questions when starting grad school. I’m particularly interested in method development and nuclear cell biology. I’m passionate about teaching, outreach, and advocating for marginalized groups in STEM.

Work in the Bewersdorf Lab

I primarily work on advancements and applications of FLASH-PAINT, a single-molecule localization microscopy technique. I’m currently working on two biological applications: 1) developing a novel chromatin tracing method for simultaneous genomic and protein labeling and 2) mapping the nuclear envelope and peripheral ER proteome to better understand cellular changes during aging.

Outside the lab

I’m a dancer and enjoy cooking, spending time in nature, and collecting plants.
