Research Background and Interests
I am a trained optoelectronic scientist and engineer. I focus on developing advanced optical microscopy methods for biological imaging and building the instruments. I have hands-on expertise in multiphoton fluorescence and second harmonic generation microscopes, Confocal microscopes, light-sheet microscopes and 4Pi-STED microscopes.
Work in the Bewersdorf Lab
I have built two 4Pi-STED microscopes and developed aligning and calibration methods to meet the specifications since joining the Bewersdorf Lab in November 2020. Now, I am working on developing and building a 4Pi lattice light-sheet microscope in a CZI project collaborated with University of North Carolina.
